Psychodynamic Counselling explores unconscious patterns of behaviour that have been developed as a result of early life experiences and beliefs.

In order to keep painful feelings, memories and experiences in the unconscious, people tend to develop defence mechanisms such as denial.

Through gaining an understanding of these patterns and the defences we have constructed, we can begin to grow emotionally developing more fulfilling relationships and a greater sense of well-being

Many of us face a variety of problems within our lives. Sometimes our problems become too much for us to handle and can affect our happiness, relationships, performance at work and even our health. When this occurs we often need support in resolving them.

Counselling can help people find their own solutions. I provide therapy in Bury St Edmunds to help individuals develop their self-awareness and identify their problems. Together we explore their individual experience of anxiety and distress and gain insight into repeating patterns of behaviour that may prevent them from leading fulfilling and satisfying lives.
